In my prospectus, I said that through “The Enemy” the writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation are arguing that even with all of the technology in the world, we still need cooperation to survive. In the episode, Worf refused to help a Romulan crew member because of a past conflict where Romulans killed his parents in a time of alliance. Since Worf refused to help, the romulan died. They had the technology to save him yet, without the aid of Worf, it could not be used to save his life. To begin my research, I would need to search for a real life example to support my prospectus. I hope to use my research to find a great real world example that will really relate to this episode and the argument I am supporting.
